Representative Experience
Insurance Litigation
Ms. Chien has experience in insurance litigation matters involving issues of coverage and bad faith, as well as first and third-party claims for primary, excess, and reinsurance carriers. Ms. Chien has also handled complex data analyses in the negotiation and resolution of multi-party, multi-layered property and liability insurance claims and litigation arising out of California wildfires with claims exceeding $1 billion.
Employment Litigation
Ms. Chien also has experience in defending employers against wage and hour class actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the California Labor Code. In addition, Ms. Chien has advised and counseled employers on various employment matters, including the creation and implementation of workplace handbook policies, wage and hour policies, and sexual harassment policies. Ms. Chien also has knowledge of employment discrimination laws, family leave laws, restrictive covenants, wage and hour laws, and unfair competition claims.
