Associate Training
A formal orientation process for new associates covers administrative, billing, recruiting, client skills, pro bono and firm policies and procedures.
The trial section of the firm sponsors a highly specialized and extensive internal trial training program, which involves periodic presentations by partners on separate trial tactics and skill topics. The training is followed by actual practice sessions in which associates are critiqued by partners. This process culminates with mock trials using real courtrooms, judges and juries. Young associates are able to observe and hear the juries deliberate.
The firm encourages participation in the nationally-recognized National Institute for Trial Advocacy programs for trial associates, with advanced deposition training after three years, and a full trial training course for those who have practiced for at least four years.
